I’m no interior designer but I cannot get myself to think of the new color of the Sony Ericsson W580 as “pink.” Does look pink to me but sort of a light red-brown color. It’s definitely not a Valentine’s color, not by any stretch.
The W580 is one of the most popular cell phone models here at our Compare Cellphones page. It has received numerous good reviews from our readers as well. But what does it have besides the odd “pink” color? It’s a slider Walkman Phone with a 2 megapixel camera operating on GSM /EDGE networks. Added to the rather regular phone features is a “Shake” control which allows you to change tracks by wrist movement.
The color is available at AT&T for $129.99 with a two-year contract.

Sony Ericsson’s new R300 Radio and R306 Radio are an innovative of getting more market share. These Radio phones are intended for emerging markets and will have FM radio as their central feature. They will have quick access to your preset stations and feature radio recording and TrackID. Wish I had this when I was a teenager.
Sony Ericsson hasn;t released the price of its newest clamshell (R306) and its candybar (R300) phones, but both ought to be affordable. Both phones will have cameras, a 1.3 megapuxel for the R306 and a VGA for the R300. The most distinct feature of the two are the oversized cellphone speakers. The R306 will have an Audio Enhancement key added, which boosts radio sound via the speakers or through your headset.

It’s here, Sony Ericsson’s first other 5 megapixel Cyber Shot in the market. Well, it’s in China. Seriously, we don’t know if this is genuine or fake but it’s supposed to be either the K700 or the K800. The design doesn’t seem all that new. I’m not so sure about the blue color.
The LED flash is a nice feature to have on a camera phone, but isn’t SE better off adding a Xenon flash? Highly questionable. Another notable feature, or lack thereof, is the absence of the joystick up front. Instead you get a more run-of-the-mill navigation button. It will not be the best camera phone when it officially comes out, which is a shame.
