SE XPERIA X1

The XPERIA X1 is definitely the biggest announcement from Sony Ericsson in recent memory. The X1 combines the SideKick slide-out QWERTY design with quadband GSM, 3G, HSDPA, HSUPA connectivity as well as WiFi and aGPS (assisted GPS). The camera onboard is only a 3.2 MP, but even without a truly competitive built-in camera, you can be sure the public is already overawed. This is a multimedia and web browsing phone, a phone that is so unlike the Cyber-Shots and the Walkman Phones we know SE likes to make. This is Nokia territory and it’s moved in with blustering aplomb.

Sony Ericsson W960

Once in a while, we, as consumers, witness partnerships of big name companies that offer us products that either fall short of expectations or thrill and delight us in many ways. Apparently, the cellular phone industry is not excluded from this trend. For most, if not all of us, the names Sony and Ericsson are brands that need no further introduction.

Hard to believe that it was more than a decade ago that I had the fortune of having an Ericsson handset with a one liner monochrome display. Though packed with not a lot of features, even at that time, I appreciated it’s tough and masculine feel and clear signal.

Now, of course, Sony is another brand name (more…)

A new cell phone released by Sony Ericsson is the W950i, a 3G capable Smartphone that operates on Symbian OS 9.1 UIQ 3. It has a touch screen feature with a focus on providing a great music experience for their clients.

Top decisions always bear a hard lot, it concerns almost every thing – a mobile phone, pocket computer, motherboard or notebook. Those devices that are to put up a good show of the producer are always "stuffed" up to maximum and it does not always correspond to the common sense or comfort of use.
