Sony Ericsson W960

Once in a while, we, as consumers, witness partnerships of big name companies that offer us products that either fall short of expectations or thrill and delight us in many ways. Apparently, the cellular phone industry is not excluded from this trend. For most, if not all of us, the names Sony and Ericsson are brands that need no further introduction.

Hard to believe that it was more than a decade ago that I had the fortune of having an Ericsson handset with a one liner monochrome display. Though packed with not a lot of features, even at that time, I appreciated it’s tough and masculine feel and clear signal.

Now, of course, Sony is another brand name (more…)

Top decisions always bear a hard lot, it concerns almost every thing – a mobile phone, pocket computer, motherboard or notebook. Those devices that are to put up a good show of the producer are always "stuffed" up to maximum and it does not always correspond to the common sense or comfort of use.

Here is a Sony ericsson w810i review made by one or more user(s) of the cell phones site at About.com.

Sony Ericsson announced the launch of two new mobile phones, the R300 Radio and R306 Radio, both designed to deliver a radio-listening experience to emerging markets such as India.

"The R300 Radio and R306 Radio allow you to tune-in to your favourite music shows or sports reports, across both AM and FM broadcasts," said Howard Lewis, Vice President and Head of Entry Level Products at Sony Ericsson. "They certainly look and sound the part, offering a radio-inspired design and feature set on a choice of either a candy bar or clamshell phone."

Both of these new phones are designed to have a clear radio look-and-feel. Sit either phone on its side and let the radio blast out through the dedicated loudspeaker in stereo in the case of the R306 Radio.

Preset buttons on the front of both the R300 Radio and R306 Radio let users switch easily between their favorite stations. It takes just one click to boost the volume when they want to share music on the radio or the live action from the sports ground.

Set it as an alarm clock or record the final moments of a team's winning match and play back the commentary. Users can even record a clip ...

Sony Ericsson W580 PinkI’m no interior designer but I cannot get myself to think of the new color of the Sony Ericsson W580 as “pink.” Does look pink to me but sort of a light red-brown color. It’s definitely not a Valentine’s color, not by any stretch.

The W580 is one of the most popular cell phone models here at our Compare Cellphones page. It has received numerous good reviews from our readers as well. But what does it have besides the odd “pink” color? It’s a slider Walkman Phone with a 2 megapixel camera operating on GSM /EDGE networks. Added to the rather regular phone features is a “Shake” control which allows you to change tracks by wrist movement.

The color is available at AT&T for $129.99 with a two-year contract.

One of the new addition to the Walkman series from Sony Ericsson is the W910i. W910i has new features like the SensME and “Shake it” technology which makes music lovers busy and happy. Few notable features of W910i are the inclusion of HSDPA connectivity and large 2.4 in screen and a new multimedia menu. Design: The slider W910i is smooth and thin and feels solid. The five way navigational keypad is smooth as keypad is soft as well.  So typing, messaging and emailing are pretty comfortable

Sony Ericsson R300 Radio

Jan 25, 2008 Filed under: Sony Ericsson

A simple, lightweight phone that concentrates on radio functions rather than other features, the Sony Ericsson R300 Radio will appeal to those on a budget.

Sony Ericsson R300, R306

Sony Ericsson’s new R300 Radio and R306 Radio are an innovative of getting more market share. These Radio phones are intended for emerging markets and will have FM radio as their central feature. They will have quick access to your preset stations and feature radio recording and TrackID. Wish I had this when I was a teenager.

Sony Ericsson hasn;t released the price of its newest clamshell (R306) and its candybar (R300) phones, but both ought to be affordable. Both phones will have cameras, a 1.3 megapuxel for the R306 and a VGA for the R300. The most distinct feature of the two are the oversized cellphone speakers. The R306 will have an Audio Enhancement key added, which boosts radio sound via the speakers or through your headset.
