The Samsung G800 wasn’t much of a rival to the Nokia N95 so Samsung went on ahead and made its successor, the G810. As a camera phone, the G810 boasts the same 5 megapixel lens with Xenon flash and 3X optical zoom. By any stretch of logic, this is the better camera phone. Samsung has added 3.6Mbps HSDPA, faster than the N95’s HSDPA. Is this enough to beat the N95?

The 150MB memory and lack of GPS should be the next features Samsung should be working on the G820 to truly compete with the N95. In the N95, Nokia has accomplished the ultimate all-in-one phone. With already a year in the market, it has remained unsurpassed in that category. The G810 is definitely the better camera phone, but so was the G800. The G810 will sell for 580 Euros.

I’ve been using the Moto Q for the past few months and definitely got used to the features of a PDA. Any basic phone user would love the Samsung SCH-R610, I’m just afraid to give it to a friend/family member because you can’t remove the browser shortcut from the carousel.

One thing though, no buttons respond when the phone is not slid up (even the power button). I thought my first phone was DOA because it wouldn’t turn on while the Samsung SCH-R610 wasn’t slid up…but once you know that, it’s nice because you don’t have to worry about any pocket mayhem.

Overall it’s a great phone, I just personally don’t like the carousel. If it wasn’t for that, I’d probably love this phone.”

The Samsung Muse U706 for Alltel is a rebranded Gleam, “which is a mid-range flip phone that centers on the music experience. The Samsung Muse U706 for Alltel has dedicated music player keys and works with XM Radio Mobile. To slide the phone open, you’ll need to push on the bottom half of the front face, which can be a tad slippery–we wish there was some kind of nub for a better grip.
