AT&T Pantech Breeze

Mar 4, 2008 Filed under: Pantech

AT&T LogoThe AT&T Pantech Breeze is expected to be available sometime in April. While the AT&T Pantech Breeze won’t have many features, it’s expected to be free with a 2 year contract. It’s basically an entry-level flip that will most likely resemble the C3b somewhat.

As of now, there’s no word on exactly when the phone will be released - just sometime in April. The AT&T Pantech Breeze won’t be the only handset AT&T is releasing this Spring though, there’s also the LG VU, Sony Ericsson Z750, Motorola W760 Hurricane, Motorola Z9 and there’s even rumors of a Nokia N95-3! Wow, it’s a good Spring for AT&T.

AT&T Red Pantech DuoThe AT&T Red Pantech Duo will soon be available. The double-sliding AT&T red Pantech Duo will be a relatively cheap handset for the carrier at $99 after rebates and 2 year contract. But, the price doesn’t mean it’s missing out on features though. Size matters and the Pantech Duo is seductively small, though not thin. It fit easily in our pockets and it's so light, we couldn't tell it was there. It makes the HTC S710 and SMT5800 (who share the QWERTY sideways slider design but not a keypad slider) look a tad big, and the Moto Q Global looks absolutely huge.

Here is the Romantic Wave, the SKY IM-S300 mobile phone from Pantech’s SKY devision. And well actually we can’t really disagree with the wave part as the wavy buttons front and centre do look somewhat cool. The Romantic Wave, as Pantech are selling it, is a slider style mobile with a 1.3 megapixel camera is available in the domestic Korean market, and leads us to believe that the physical design is just about all that’s going for it. Who knows, but if you are wondering around Seoul and fancy

The folks at AT&T sent me the Pantech Duo (C810) to review. This is a small Windows Mobile 6 smartphone with a dual slider. The face slides up to reveal a dialing keypad... Slide the face to the right and it reveals a QWERTY keyboard. Pretty cool for a device that is 4.02 x 1.97 x 0.83 inches, which is very pocketable. I've been using the Nokia E61i for a few weeks now and this phone feels tiny in comparison. I'm even able to sync it to my iMac / Leopard using the latest versi

Pantech Duo Review - UberGizmo

Dec 9, 2007 Filed under: Pantech

Pantech DuoUberGizmo reviews the Pantech Duo: “The Pantech Duo is an interesting device that addresses the lack of numeric pad on QWERTY Smartphones, but it is not the “best of both worlds”. To sneak in a numeric pad, Pantech had to make the QWERTY keyboard flat, making it not as effective as a classic QWERTY Smartphone like the Blackjack, Treo 750 or the Motorola Q9. The Pantech Duo is for users who wish to get a numeric pad that feels like a “normal” phone, but at the same time enjoy the benefits of a QWERTY keyboard, for mild texting. Heavy texters should go for a classic QWERTY phone.”

AT&T Pantech Duo Review

Dec 7, 2007 Filed under: Pantech

A common complaint that QWERTY phone users have is that it is hard to dial a simple number with a qwerty keyboard (vs. searching a contact by name), especially while driving (well, is one supposed to do that?). Pantech believes that customers don't have to choose between a “normal” numeric pad and a large QWERTY keyboard, that's why it has included both in the Duo, a design that is not unique, but rare. We have put the Pantech Duo to the test to see if it really is the best of both worlds.

AT&T Pantech Duo Review - SlashGear

Nov 25, 2007 Filed under: Pantech

AT&T Pantech DuoSlashGear reviews the AT&T Pantech Duo: “The AT&T Pantech Duo has a big bright external screen. This makes navigation a breeze. The front of the phone also has a nice indented pattern around the screen. It adds well to the aesthetic of the phone.

Call quality on the AT&T Pantech Duo was above what I expected. Very easy to hear whether you’re in a quite room, or a noisy crowd. Speaker quality is good for voice calls, but so-so when playing music with the built in Windows Media Player 10.

Overall, the AT&T Pantech Duo is a great phone for the business user as well as the everyday consumer in search of an above average phone. I give the phone a 4 out of 5. Pick it up for about $300 retail.”

Pantech C810 Duo Review - MobileBurn

Nov 23, 2007 Filed under: Pantech

Pantech C810 DuoMobileBurn reviews the Pantech C810 Duo: “The Pantech C810 Duo for AT&T is a good device. It offers a lot of good functionality, like HSDPA data and top-notch voice control, in a cleverly designed package. While the QWERTY keyboard suffers from a few design compromises, it is still very useful to have included. On the down side, the camera in the Pantech C810 Duo is a massive disappointment, and the Duo’s main menu seems especially disorganized. But luckily for Pantech, I don’t feel that any of these things are deal breakers. While I might like the physical design of HTC’s S710 better, the Pantech C810 Duo is all over the S710 when it comes to data speeds. So if fast is your game, and you wouldn’t mind occasionally using a QWERTY keyboard, the Duo could be just the ticket. I give it a “Recommended” rating.”
