I must say I am getting slightly irritated by O2, and their complete and utter lack of a product roadmap. As many of you know I've been after the HTC Touch Pro since before it was announced. Catherine has had the HTC Touch Diamond for nearly two weeks (from Orange). Which when I was in Newport this week obviously checked out quite extensively. The short review: Much better than my expectations. The Touch Pro, is essentially the Diamond, with a hardware keyboard, microSD slot and bigger batter

O2 will deliver the iPhone 3G for free to the U.K. The plans are fairly reasonable £45 for the 8GB and £75 for the 16GB. The 8GB plan is. The £75 monthly for an extra 8GB of storage seem a little exorbitant. For Germany, T-Mobile has a one-Euro plan, whch will set back Germans 89 euros each a month.
I wonder whether O2 isn’t pricing the 16GB iPhone 3G too high with the £75 bundle? Sometimes these contracts bundled with the iPhone doesn’t make much sense. Take the Rogers 3-year sign-up. Being the only GSM provider in Canada, what difference does it make if it ws for 3 years, 2 years or a year?

A few of my blogger friends are also on this seeding program and have reviewed in depth so I thought I would take a slightly different view than give you an in depth technical assessment. Besides, when it comes to the software I'm biased :) For informed views from others, check out reviews from the likes of Being Lucy Diamond, Blog Til You Drop, Darren Straight, Keit

O2 just got the nod from Apple to distribute the iPhone in Ireland beginning March 12. It remains to see whether the iPhone will be receive the same hyped-up reception that U.S. iPhone did. To tell the truth, iPhone Europe was pretty lackluster and the Irish are not exactly known to be big spenders on tech.
This is waht O2 will be offering iPhone subscribers: 8GB model for €399 (US$600) and a 16GB model for €499 (US$750). Subscribers could buy their iPhones from Carphone Warehouse or O2 stores. There will be three tariffs on offer starting from €45 for 175 minutes to €100 for 700 minutes. These include anytime minutes, text and 1GB of data.

I have had the Xda Orbit 2 for a few days now and have used it for car navigation. I am not going to review the phone or list the specifications - other sites have already done this. Instead, here are some more thoughts… I find the touch screen slightly insensitive. You have to press hard compared to most PPCs I have used. CoPilot works very well and is an able replacement for my stand-alone TomTom. The only quirk is that when you go the wrong way it nearly always tries to take you back the
