In select markets, the integrated DVB-H receiver offers live broadcast TV with an automatically updating program guide. The internal memory can store up to 40 hours of video content, with storage capacity further expanded with an optional microSD card, such as the new Nokia 8 GB microSDHC Card MU-43 which increases the available memory of the Nokia N96 to a total of 24 GB. With its high-speed internet connectivity, over WLAN or HSDPA, uploading photos and videos to online communities like Share on Ovi, Flickr or YouTube is a single key stroke away.
Music remains a core feature of the Nseries range. With internal speakers and support for standard 3.5 mm ...

Nokia and UC Berkeley researchers tested technology that could soon transform the way drivers navigate through congested highways and obtain information about road conditions. One hundred cars equipped with the GPS-enabled Nokia N95, and driven by students from the University of California, traveled a 10-mile stretch of highway near San Francisco to show how real-time traffic information can be collected from the GPS feed, while preserving the privacy of the devices' owners.

For cell phone and non-cell phone aficionados (if there ever was such a thing in this day and age) alike, the Finnish brand Nokia is a name that needs no further introduction. It is one, if not the forerunner in the cellular phone industry for many years now, and it’s safe to assume for the next few decades to come.
Nokia has been churning out model after model of gorgeous handsets since its first inception. This is why one can easily get lost in the model number confusion that arises. But among the cell phone bed of roses from Nokia, an elegant thorn arises pricking every one’s interest, and the Nokia N70 is one of them.
At first glance, the N70 bears a striking resemblance to the Nokia 6680. This is not a bad thing since the N70 more or less inherited the likable traits of its predecessor and greatly improved on it. Of course, being instantly recognizable and of great importance with its more compact size which gives it a more elegant look, especially with the classy looking stainless steel bezel casing, give it an edge over its (more…)

New Nokia N96 specs and photo have been leaked. A German site claims the new Nokia N96 will be featured at Mobile World Congress, coming up. The photo at left looks pretty legit, and most likely this is the real deal. This version is not going to work in the US, but hopefully the US Nokia N96 will head our way soon.
EngadgetMobile has more on the phone’s specs: “While the Nokia N96 will carry over the 3.5mm jack, 5 megapixel camera, WiFi, and AGPS, it seems the new king of the Nseries hill will begin life as a quadband GSM / EDGE handset with HSDPA on the 850 and 2100MHz bands, supporting Europe and Australia while forgoing North America. There’s a DVB-H tuner in there, too, but here’s the best part: the phone’s going to sport a nice, thick 16GB chunk of internal Flash — in addition to a microSD slot.”
The AT&T Pink Nokia 6085 is now available. The AT&T Pink Nokia 6085 will not have any feature upgrades, but at $0 after rebates and 2 year contract - it’s not a bad handset. AT&T squeaked this one out right before Valentine’s Day, and I’m sure a few of these will fly off the shelves at this price.
As a reminder, the AT&T Pink Nokia 6085 will have a VGA camera, A2DP, EDGE, and an internal 160 x 128 display paired with a monochrome external. You can get yours now at the carrier’s website or at any retail store.

During the experiment, special software on the mobile devices periodically sent anonymous speed and location readings from the integrated GPS to servers. The feeds were then combined to create a real-time picture of traffic speeds and projected travel times.
The experiment was carried out to test the traffic data collection and aggregation system, while studying ...
