Reviews on the latest and best mobile phones on the market.

PhoneScoop reviews the Nokia 6263: “The Nokia 6263 is alot sleeker than the 6133. The buttons are durable, unlike the 5300. Also. the T-ZONES has been completely redesigned on the Nokia 6263 and its amazing. You can actually preview the ringtones before you buy them, way to catch up T-Mobile! I have not found any instances of crippling on the Nokia 6263 yet. The only flaw would probably be the speaker on the phone ear piece could have been better. It’s sub-par. It’s going to be interesting to see how this whole 3G ploy by T-Mobile is going to play out in 2007 and I wanna be ready, hence why I bought this phone.”

If there’s one phone manufacturer that takes its carbon footprint seriously, it’s Nokia. The cellphone giant is feeling its recent slip in Greenpeace’s “Guide to Greener Electronics” list. To add insult to the injury, rivals Sony Ericsson made it to number one. Perhaps, in the next list, Greenpeace will look more favorably to Nokia with the launching of the 3110.
The Nokia 3110 uses “bio-covers,” which is made fro 50% renewable material. renewable means the parts were probably grown somewhere or it came out of something. Eww. But t does help the environment, so kudos to Nokia. The packaging is also 60% recyclable. The charger is also environmentally friendly using 94% less energy recommended by Energy Star. The phone comes with a rather unusual name Evolve for a phone meant to help save the environment.

“The Nokia WH-600 headset goes on the ear while the Nokia WH-700 headset is a traditional bud style, offering three different cup sizes in the box. Both can be used for music and calls alike — obviously — and include 3.5mm jack adapters for use with any ol’ music player you like.”
The Nokia WH-600 and Nokia WH-700 headsets should be available by January and will be about $96 and $74 respectively.

MobileBurn reviews the Nokia 6263: “The Nokia 6263 (T-Mobile)Â is differentiated from the 6267 by its downgraded 1.3 megapixel camera and the 3G frequency bands it supports. T-Mobile USA’s upcoming 3G network will function on separate bands for uplink and downlink connections.
Apart from its 3G connectivity options, the Nokia 6263’s other highlights include dedicated external music keys, a microSD card slot (512MB cardincluded, with support for up to 4GB), and a large QVGA resolution main display. For those that prefer their conversations hands and wire free, the Nokia 6263 also support Bluetooth headsets and stereo headphones. The built-in xHTML browser should offer a decent mobile web experience, backed up by support for both Java and Flash Lite.
One of the downsides of this new 3G technology is battery life: the Nokia 6263 is rated for only 3.3 hours of talk time, though it should still be capable of 11 days of standby time.”
