Reviews on the latest and best mobile phones on the market.

The Canadian carrier Fido started offering the new Motorola Q9H PDA.
This is its first Windows Mobile handset, and although Fido is not the first operator to offer the device in Canada, Q9H is surely a pleasant surpri...

PhoneArena reviews the Sprint-Nextel Motorola i335: “The Motorola i335 is very good at what it does. Its size and styling will appeal to a majority of iDEN users, though it lacks higher-end features such as email support and a camera. The Sprint-Nextel Motorola i335 wasn’t designed for that though, and we found ourselves really liking it. It fits in the hand and the pocket equally well, can withstand a beating and for the first time in a long time we didn’t feel embarrassed using an iDEN unit in public (with the speakerphone OFF, of course.) Improvements can be made, such as revamping the UI or adding a camera, but overall Motorola has a winner with the i335.”

It may not look like the safets cellphone out there but the MOTOSLVR L7 with Angstrom fuel cell may be the wave of the future, considering the increasing demand for more cell phone features by the market. I mean, solar-powered cellphone may not have enough power for a high-megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, etc., but a fuel cell battery will give you connectivity from here to Timbuktu.
Now, we’re not sure if this cellphone will ever get into production, but the picture above shows us that at least putting a fuel cell on a cellphone will not affect its form factor.

It seems that we’ve only been hearing bad news from Motorola lately. Moto may have been rumored to be leaving the cellphone business and, in fact, their lackluster showing at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona didn’t do much to dispel the rumors. But then again, we are not counting the E8.
Yep, ROKR is back and if this model did not exactly fly off the shelves when Moto was with Apple it’s definitely hype material now that downward-moving Motorola has gone solo with it. The pic doesn’t give us much information than what we had before except that T-Mobile logo. I’m sure the ROKR will be competitive not only in the music-playing side, which most cellphone brands are pretty keen on having on every model, but in storage as well. Say, 8GB built-in for starters? I think not.

Moto ROKR Coming to T-Mobile? | Add your Comments
Powered by a virtual numbered keypad on the front surface, the quad-band GPRS/EDGE Motorola E8 will be heading to T-Mobile network, no words on the pricing and availability date though.
Antix has an agreement with Motorola to provide the Antix Game Player client for Motorola devices leveraging UIQ technology - the MOTO Z8 and MOTO Z10.
The T-Mobile Motorola ROKR E8 appears to be headed our way. The T-Mobile Motorola ROKR E8 is a pretty revolutionary handset, with it’s face completely free of physical keys. When you turn the phone on, the keypad appears along with the normal display screen. When you touch the keypad it has vibrating haptics - also there’s a nav wheel in the middle of the T-Mobile Motorola ROKR E8, which is pretty neat (kind of similar to Apple’s nav wheels).
“The handset has 3.5mm headphone jack, 2GB of flash storage, a microSD slot, FM radio and a microUSB plug. The T-Mobile Motorola ROKR E8 is Linux-based, and Motorola is quite proud of its audio fidelity, but we suppose the proof is in the listening.”

The Verizon Motorola W755 Cool is a Razr-inspired handset coming soon. The Verizon Motorola W755 has nothing spectacular about it, but it’s not shabby either.
With a 1.3 megapixel camera, touch-sensitive external controls, Bluetooth, and CDMA / EVDO, the Verizon Motorola W755 Cool isn’t going to be busting out of the low-end anytime soon - but it does have a few of their features anyway.

The Motorola Z6w Wi-Fi cell phone was announced today at Mobile World Congress. The Motorola Z6w adds Wi-Fi to the mix of connectivity options to the updated Z6 handset. The other features, such as a 2 megapixel camera and Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP are still present on this new version.
“The Motorola Z6w Wi-Fi handset also connects via quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and a microSD card slot is available for expanded memory. The Motorola Z6w is planned to be available in Q2 2008, though pricing has not been revealed.”

Motorola has recently unveiled a new entry level mobile phone specifically targeted towards the Indian market – the Motorola W230. The W230 is part of Motorola’s MotoYuva series, which highlights music capabilities more than anything else. It therefore comes with a pre-installed memory card worth 256 megabytes. It’s quite the far stretch from the usual 10 Mb that ships with most mobile phones with more features than this one, which is a pleasant surprise. What’s more, it is expandable to up to 2 Gigs that is enough for more or less 500 songs, should one choose to purchase and upgrade.
The model W230 tends to mislead people into thinking this is a Walkman phone though. And not only that, the MotoYuva series name sounds too similar with (more…)
