Reviews on the latest and best mobile phones on the market.
The photo below is showing us a list of the HTC current smartphones, but what make it differences is the 3 unknown smartphone at the lower row. If this picture is not fake, you might be seeing this at the coming HTC special event on May 6th in London, UK.

Some suggests that the new devices are having the same hardware design, but different in QWERTY keyboard hardware in the slider body.

The HTC Touch Dual Neon300 was just spotted on FCC’s website. The new handset features a 400Mhz processor, 2.6 inch touchscreen display, 256MB ROM/128MB RAM, Bluetooth 2.0, and microSD card slot - all powered by Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional.
Basically, the HTC Touch Dual Neon300 is just an upgrade to the original HTC Touch (which is already available through several US carriers). This particular model will also work well in the US with it’s HSDPA 850/1900Mhz frequency bands. No word yet if any carrier will pick this up, release date or pricing. Stay tuned for more details.
The T-Mobile HTC Shadow II has surfaced. The T-Mobile HTC Shadow II is a smoother, shinier successor to the original Shadow. Besides the sleek new look, it is also going to come with MyFaves & HotSpot@Home support - meaning Wi-Fi.
The T-Mobile HTC Shadows II’s Wi-Fi support would make it the first Windows Mobile handset to run on T-Mobile’s HotSpot@Home network. The rounded edges and very shiny exterior of the T-Mobile HTC Shadow II are pretty, but it may create some smudging problems. Check back soon for more details.
PhoneArena reviews the HTC Touch Cruise: “The HTC Touch Cruise will provide a reliable and precise navigation when needed. Aside from that, you will make and receive calls with a very good sound quality, no matter in which country you are. The device can be operated single-handedly -thanks to the TouchFlo 2.0 technology and the rotating 4-way D-pad. In contrast to Artemis, which didn’t have 3G support, HTC Touch Cruise has a tri-band one, meaning that even if you are in an area with no WiFi coverage, you will still be able to reply to an important e mail, for example. If you are on the market for PocketPC with a built-in GPS, take a look at the HTC Touch Cruise, and if not, consider TyTN II from the same manufacturer.”

If you've been waiting for the Verizon Wireless XV6900 ever since it was announced at CTIA 2008, today is your lucky day. Verizon Wireless announced that you can now get its version of the HTC Touch through its online store for $249.99 with a two-year contract and after ...
HTC’s Shadow 2 is sleeker than its predecessor or, for that matter, any HTC phone in recent memory (check out the ones we have in our archive).
The first HTC Shadow was not a bad slider, but after its initial stint in the rumor mill before launch the Shadow’s desirability fizzled right after launch. We have no idea why. Our expert’s page give us an above-average rating of the Shadow. Maybe it’s the Windows Mobile operating system. Maybe it’s the lackluster feature set. It has WiFi, but the lack of 3G and an average camera made sure it wouldn’t make it into people’s must-haves gadget list.
The second-generation Shadow may not have 3G as well. Rumored features such as MyFaves and Hotspot@Home is definitely good news. Best feature of the Shadow 2 in my book? The Palm Centro-like design. Though Shadow 2 will probably have a bigger form factor,, not to mention the additional slide-out keypad, it’s to date HTC’s sleekest handset.

Willcom in Japan today unveil its plan to release the first UMPC in mid-June this year. The Willcom D4 UMPC has a similar design as HTC Tytn II (HTC Kaiser), which comes with a QWERTY keyboard and movable display screen.

HTC is auctioning off HTC Touches with unique one-of-a-kind designs. The sales are all going to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Unfortunately only Singaporeans could purchase the phones, which are being auctioned off at eBay. The Green bamboo-themed one is now going for $302, while the Red one is going for just a little over $100. Chances are, you’d get this phone cheaper in a charity auction than on a store.
The auction will end April 19 and if you’re in Singapore at around that time, do place a bid. If you can get the blue one for less than $300, I’d be happy to round off the number for you.

A member of the XDA-Dev community has managed to run Google's Android OS on the HTC TyTN II smartphone.
The proof of that you will find below. Anyway, it looks like this is not a fully functional operating system; rather it is an executable for Windows Mobile. However, ...

Wow, great copy! I think this time Chinese have managed to create a perfect clone of a handset. This time it's HTC Touch Dual, and damn it looks so real. Anyway, just for the sake of propriety they put an "HY" sign on the back to let everyone know the device is fake.
Dual-band (900/1800M... [Continue reading A Perfect Clone of HTC Touch Dual]If you’ve been thinking about picking up an HTC Touch but have held off because the design is just too sober, think again: the company has collaborated with Nicholas designer Nic Wong to create four limited editions of the smartphone. Ranging from the subtle (a powder-blue Anaglypta-style design) to the strident (crazed red and white triangles), each handset is unique as in one-of-a-kind. All proceeds from the four sales - which are taking place on eBay - will go to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Now for the bad news: if you’re not in Singapore, forget about bidding. Sadly HTC are only willing to ship to addresses there, so if you fancy a unique Touch in your own country you’ll have to pester them to come to a similar arrangement wherever it is you live. Still, I wonder if the eventual buyers can write off the cost as a charitable donation?
With the auctions ending on April 19th, as of writing the bids are just kicking off: the cheapest is at 1.05 Singapore dollars ($0.78) while the highest bid is 151 Singapore dollars ($111.49).

Combining a lightweight design, HTC Home homescreen, Windows Mobile 6 Professional, 2.0 Mega-pixel digital camera, the GPS enabled HTC P3470 is now available in most part of Asia countries.

Chinese have cloned yet another device. This time it’s HTC TyTN II. As you can see the fonts and icons on the screen here are wrong, but generally this is a quality fake, as the phone itself looks almost the same. Moreover, it has two SIM slots and runs Windows Mobile.

The Verizon HTC XV6900 is coming April 16th. The Verizon HTC XV6900 is set to arrive first online (on the 16th), then should be available through all retail outlets by the end of April.
The Verizon HTC XV6900 is set to replace the XV6800 and will have a very respectable feature set, including: Windows Mobile 6 Professional, 2.8” flat QVGA display, EV-DO, TouchFLO and GPS. You’ll be able to purchase the Verizon HTC XV6900 for $349.99 after $50 rebate and 2 year contract.
MobileBurn reviews the HTC Touch Dual: “The HTC Touch Dual still might not be ideal for road warriors looking to get through vast amounts of email or editing of documents (though the SureType-esque semi-QWERTY version goes far to help here), the addition of a keypad makes the HTC Touch Dual much more usable overall.
Another gripe we had with the original was its lack of 3G data, which again the HTC Touch Dual has addressed. This is offset, however, by the removal of WiFi access. For users that are predominately in 3G areas, this may be the perfect trade-off, but personally I don’t think this really helps the situation from the original.
Looking past those two areas, the HTC Touch Dual maintains all the things that made the original great, including the easy to use touch scrolling and menu, the intelligent touch screen to make small items easier to hit, and the great foundation of Windows Mobile 6.
There is nothing about the HTC Touch Dual that would prevent me from giving it a Highly Recommended rating. It is everything that was wonderful about the original and then some.”

HTC have just announced a special event to be held on May 6th in London, UK. Since the tagline for the event is “Witness the next wave of HTC Innovation”, the general assumption is that it’s the official launch of HTC’s smartphones based on Google’s Android platform. HTC have already committed to a mid-2008 release for handsets using Android (rather than HTC’s usual OS partner, Windows Mobile).

The HTC Dream has been long speculated as the company’s first offering running Android; it’s rumored to include many features already seen on the iPhone, such as full touchscreen interface and onscreen keyboard. It’s predicted to measure 5-inches long and 3-inches wide. The picture below was shown in a BBC video as a prototype, and has been undergoing tests at Google. Right now, this device is the closest thing we have to what the Dream phone looks like:

Our sister-site PHONE Mag will be live-casting the May 6th event, bringing you whatever innovations HTC announce on the day.

The US Cellular HTC PPC6800 is now available. The US Cellular HTC PPC6800 is basically an upgrade to the 6700 and has a pretty impressive amount of features.
The US Cellular HTC PPC6800 features: “Windows Mobile 6, an assisted-slide keyboard, stereo Bluetooth, and a 2 megapixel camera. The EVDO data is also upgradeable to the faster Rev. A standard. Other features remain similar including Wi-Fi, memory card slot, and touch screen.”
You can get the US Cellular HTC PPC6800 now for $349.95 after rebates.

HTC suddenly introduced the U.S. variant of the Touch Dual smartphone.
It is basically the same handset that is sold in Europe, but now it supports quad-band GSM with 850/1900 MHz UMTS/HSDPA networks and runs the newly launched Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.

The Verizon XV6900 will be here soon. The Verizon XV6900 has been rumored about for months now, and Verizon just today announced it. The handset will be available in April for $350 after a $50 mail-in rebate and 2 year agreement.
The Verizon XV6900 is a slim Windows Mobile 6 Professional smartphone with 2.8” flat QVGA display, EV-DO and GPS. Overall, not a bad feature line-up for the Verizon XV6900, but the price seems a little steep. Hopefully they give a good sale price for this one.
HTC 5800 is reviewed by Adam on Thu, March 27, 2008

High Technology Corporation (HTC) is planning to release the first cell phone built around Google’s Android OS later this year, according to an article from the IDG News Service.
The HTC “Dream” will be a smartphone with a large touchscreen, full QWERTY keypad, measures five inches long and three inches wide, will slide or swivel and be built entirely around the much anticipated Android operating system.
Rumors indicate that Samsung is also in the advanced stages of bringing its own Android powered device to market.
HTC and Samsung are two of more than 30 members of the Google-founded Open Handset Alliance (OHA), an organization whose mission is to accelerate innovation in mobile technology, in large part through the use of the Android OS.

The HTC Dream Android phone rumors have surfaced again. The HTC Dream is supposed to be the first Android running handset released to the public. A person close to the situation recently told InfoWorld that this handset is indeed scheduled to be the first Android phone to debut, acknowledging rumors of the new cell phone.
“The HTC Dream Android phone is said to measure 3-inches wide by 5-inches long and feature a full QWERTY keypad that either slides out or swivels.” If the HTC Dream is indeed the first handset to be running Google’s Android, we would expect it to have tremendous specs - making Android look good.
It’s very long time I never review about HTC and now they will be launch HTC Advantage X7510 which is expected on March 2008. Maybe some of you have been saw HTC Advantage is look similar with T-Mobile Ameo aka Athena last year but it’s different people.

HTC Advantage is much bigger rather than mobile phone and HTC rework and upgrade and come with new model. Come with Windows Mobile 6 plus TouchFLO interface used on HTC Touch. What Windows Mobile for iPhone generation, with an improved interface and much higher user experience, and you may see what Microsoft is rumoured that work.
Advantage HTC X7510 measures 133 x 98 x 21mm and weighs 375 grams with the keyboard. Taking away the keyboard removed 85 grams of weight and 5mm thick. Most of the size of the new Advantage is taken up by the 5 “640 x 480 pixels, and of course the large QWERTY keyboard.

Internal storage is a huge 16 GB of flash memory (the old Advantage had an 8GB hard drive), and this can be extended by using microSD cards. On the back is a 3.1 ...
MobileTech reviews the HTC Shift: “The HTC Shift is certainly one of the best UMPCs we’ve seen to date with a large display and usable keyboard. Ultra-mobile computers are highly personal devices, so we can’t say the HTC Shift is for you: if you want a near notebook replacement with a display that’s easy on the eyes, a relatively good typing experience and wide area networking via cellular then the HTC is a good fit. If you want something that will fit in an oversized pocket rather than a notebook substitute, consider the significantly smaller OQO model 02 or Sony Vaio UX (or the Fujitsu U810 as a compromise between the two). We say that the HTC Shift has the best usability of any UMPC thanks to its very readable display, finger-friendliness and top-notch keyboard. The integrated high speed wide area networking is perfect for those whose travels extend beyond hotspots and home/work networks and there’s WiFi for home/work/Starbucks. Bluetooth 2.0 means you can use Bluetooth mice, stereo headsets and more so you need not carry the USB hub with you.”
