T-Mobile BlackBerry KickstartT-Mobile BlackBerry Kickstart rumors have popped up. The T-Mobile BlackBerry Kickstart would be RIM’s first attempt at a flip phone. BGR got ahold of some early photos of the device with a T-Mobile logo, and it’s expected to launch around September. Judging by the specs & look of the T-Mobile BlackBerry Kickstart, it’s going to be a very hot seller.

The T-Mobile BlackBerry Kickstart features: a 2 megapixel cam, SureType, trackball, internal QVGA and external 160 x 128 displays, WiFi, and a true 3.5mm headphone jack. Also, you’ll have your choice of many different colors. Check back soon for more details on the T-Mobile BlackBerry Kickstart.

BlackBerry KickstartThe unveiling of BlackBerry’s first clamshell phone is the biggest news today in the cellphone industry. If you’re not a RIM fan, you might be curious to know why a clamshell BlackBerry phone is such a big deal. Called Kickstart, you’ll find the familiar Pearl-type keypad when you flip the phone open/ The internal screen is huge and so is the external one.

We do not have much detail yet but the outside of the Kickstart looks good and inside (photo above) might be just about the most ergonomic keypad on a clamshell phone you’ll find. But lets not get ahead of ourselves and wait for more specs on this BlackBerry. I’ll sure be holding my breath.

BlackBerry Kickstart Flip PhoneThe BlackBerry Kickstart flip phone is coming! BlackBerry Kickstart spy photos have been dug up by BGR, and show a brand new, first ever flip phone for RIM. It’s a pretty neat looking handset - the keyboard & trackball have a lot of resemblance to it’s non-flip cousins.

The BlackBerry Kickstart flip phone will feature: “SureType keyboard, has an external LCD, and a pretty decent looking internal LCD. It also uses the Trackball for navigation and does have a camera.” It’s expected to release before the year is out. Check back soon for more details of the BlackBerry Kickstart.

RIM BlackBerry 9000New RIM BlackBerry 9000 info has surfaced. The RIM BlackBerry 9000 is set to debut in July, and will have quite a few updates/improvements over previous BlackBerries. First, the web browser will be capable of Javascript, CSS 2.1, and full HTML support. Not only that, but you’ll also be able to watch inline video streaming. YouTube anyone?

The RIM BlackBerry 9000 will also have a host of new security enhancements & theme offerings. Also, pictures can be organized into folders and viewed all at once, and Automatic Playlist will allow users to create playlists from their music library.

It looks like the RIM BlackBerry 9000 will certainly be geared towards non-business users, which seems to be where the company is headed. So far, everything looks great for the new handset - now, just stop delaying it’s release for us.

Unlocked BlackBerry 9000An unlocked BlackBerry 9000 showed up on eBay recently. The unlocked BlackBerry 9000 auction was pulled by the seller for some unknown reason, but our guess is that eBay ended it for them.

The seller did mention a few features of the unlocked BlackBerry 9000 though: 3G, Edge, WiFi, and Bluetooth. Also, they posted some new spy shots of the phone, and they match up with earlier shots of the BlackBerry 9000 handset. BlackBerry Touchscreen Smartphone

Apr 29, 2008 Filed under: BlackBerry

BlackBerry Touchscreen SmartphoneA new BlackBerry touchscreen smartphone may be in the works. The BlackBerry touchscreen smartphone was mentioned in a recent NY Times article, citing two independent software developers for RIM. The new cell phone will try to compete with the Apple iPhone and even sport a new, more youthful interface.

The new BlackBerry touchscreen smartphone will most likely focus on media capabilities such as a camera, video, multimedia player, etc. It’s unknown if the new phone will have a full physical Qwerty keyboard or a virtual one like the iPhone. Check back soon for more details.

source

It seems that Mike Lazaridis, President and Co-CEO at RIM, should try to practice on how to type on the touchscreen phone in the near future. Despite the fact that he once said he didn’t like to type on a piece of glass, but a rumor said that his company is now developing an-”iPhone killer” handset.

… RIM has a skunkworks product dubbed “AK” (which stands for “Apple Killer”), and that apparently it’ll be touchscreen.

As a BlackBerry user, I was so curious to know more about the touch-screen BlackBerry. I hope this rumor will come true. And it would be dubbed as iBlackBerry? -)

Source: Engadget Mobile

blackberry touchscreenRIM is not going to stand idly by while Apple move its way to the top of the smartphone market and eating up precious RIM customers. It’s going to fight back… with touch screen. And that’s what we thought we had with the BB 9000. Though 3G connectivity and HSDPA is nothing to be pooh-poohed about on a phone, it doesn’t seem to be sufficient answer to the iPhone invasion.

The problem is that enterprise phones no longer need to have an ultra-corporate image with business-speak as its main language. The iPhone has proven that resoundingly. RIM is getting more customers this year compared to the next but at the same time its market share is dwindling. The smartphone market is growing rapidly, thanks in part to the iPhone, but mainly “smart” is the logical direction of handset market, especially in the West. So a touchscreen BlackBerry and with more multimedia features added? For a manufacturer with a strictly enterprise image, these are very interesting times indeed.

The original BlackBerry was described to me as the ultimate utility phone by one of my business associates. I could just never get over the size of the thing. When my contract with T-Mobile came up, I decided it was time for me to upgrade to either the Shadow or the recently launched BlackBerry Pearl 8120 (a RIM handset that wasn’t the size of a laptop) . I actually chose the Shadow simply because I liked the idea of a slider phone, as I keep it in my pocket and hate trying to remember to lock

It’s an innovative way to recharge iPhone and iPod Touch batteries. You may consider to use The WildCharge Adapter. While WildCharge wire-free charging technology is located on the back of the case (called “Skins”), so you just need to slip your iPhone or iPod touch into the case and then drop it anywhere on the WildCharger charging pad. It’s that easy.

The WildCharger pad can charge up to five devices simultaneously.

Before making the purchase, the reviewer emphasized, factor in the price of $60 for the WildCharger pad and an additional $35 per adapter for your iPhone, iPod touch, BlackBerry 8800, Pearl or a third-gen iPod should be considered.

Ship date is still officially undetermined, but the iPhone and iPod touch cases should launch next month.

The new Pearl 8120 arrives at T-Mobile The Pearl 8120 has been out and about in the global community for awhile now, but it is just now making its way to the major North American carriers. T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8120Engadget reviews the T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8120: “The T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8120 adds a 802.11b/g radio, and packs yet a couple more tricks up its sleeve.

Put simply, the experience we had setting up, using, and making calls with the new T-Mobile BlackBerry Pearl 8120 linked up to our router was the best we’ve had so far with any HotSpot@Home device; it definitely seems like T-Mobile and RIM are learning a thing or two about how to make this a truly seamless and painless process. A “UMA” indicator on the display lets you know that calls are being routed over the service, but if you’re not paying attention to it, you might never know it’s happening — it’s just that good.”

Use the Sun to Charge Your BlackBerry! It seems apt that I am writing this with Earth Day coming up on April 22nd. Green is all the rage these days and while even Al Gore uses a BlackBerry there is no getting away from the fact that they do run on electricity. So, while it might be the size of a squirrel’s paw, the little device does leave a carbon footprint. Thankfully, there is a solution for those who want to have as little impact on the environment as possible – the Solio Hybrid 10
