T-Mobile and Research In Motion (RIM) has announced last week that it will start selling the BlackBerry Bold in Germany and Austria this week. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone comes with integrated GPS and Wi-Fi and is the first BlackBerry smartphone to support tri-band HSDPA high-speed networks around the world. Users can surf the Internet and download large e-mail attachments over the T-Mobile UMTS web’n'walk network.

The BlackBerry Bold smartphone has a rich set of multimedia capabilities and displays content beautifully on its half-VGA (480×320 resolution at 217 ppi) color LCD display. The BlackBerry Bold smartphone’s support for tri-band HSDPA and enterprise-grade Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g) networks and its next-generation 624 MHz mobile processor make short work of downloading email attachments, streaming video or rendering web pages over the T-Mobile network.

“The BlackBerry Bold is the most advanced and performance-driven BlackBerry smartphone in our portfolio. We are also delighted to say that because of the long time partnership with RIM, the handset is very well optimised for T-Mobile Germany’s network and services,” says Dr. Frank Wermeyer, Director Business Marketing, T-Mobile Germany. “With HSDPA and EDGE technology, users can experience a fast and comfortable way of accessing the Internet and intranets through our ...

T-mobile BlackBerry Curve SunsetThe T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve is now available in the color “Sunset”. We’d been hearing this new hue was shipping to stores a few days back, so it wasn’t a big surprise. The strange thing about the new phone is that it seems more like a red color - I was thinking the sun & sunsets were more orangish. However, I actually like the new color, so I won’t gripe too much about their name choice.

Don’t expect any new features on the T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve “Sunset”. The insides will remain exactly the same as the previous versions. Here’s a rundown of what you can expect: a two-megapixel camera, a music and video player, a 3.5mm stereo headset jack and a microSD card slot for expandable memory storage. It also has WiFi, which makes it compatible with T-Mobile’s HotSpot@Home service.

Lurking in the shadows, though, is the KickStart, RIM's very first flip phone, and a device that could end up making a huge splash if it actually manages to launch at the sub-$50 price poin
